Nine Inch Nails - The Slip review.
The Slip (Halo 27) is the seventh studio album released on 5th May 2008 via digital download. Trent Reznor produced the album alongside Atticus Ross and Alan Moulder. Before the release of The Slip, Nine Inch Nails chipped in two single during different dates. Releasing speculations that an album was on the way.
Looking back at days of it's 'With Teeth' influence and a come-back from YearZero. It's rather melodic and contemporary music like 1, 000, 000, discipline and a rather alienative europlex, makes Nine Inch Nails an alternative complex with a wicked twist. Head Down is another example of a cross between YearZero and With Teeth, having a slighty torturous guitar industrial riff with a rather clean vocal lead. And Lights in the Sky brings about a meloncholic feel to the whole album. Bringing back days dating to 'The Fragile'. Irregardless of downing some instrumentally ear-ripping tracks.
The Slip will fill in the gap since With Teeth did. And with rugged noise atmosphere, with twsited and rather raw drum-beats and YearZero like platform; i've definatly found my favourite "Head Down".
